Upcycled Crochet Skirt

“Crochet is giving retirement village”

Not anymore - ha! 🧶 We all know I’m obsessed with reimagining everything secondhand, and since it’s summer you know what that means…it’s time to make another Two Piece Set using thrifted materials!

Last year I made a two piece set using a bedsheet and another one using a tablecloth, so for this summer I wanted to try something completely different. Imagine my squeal when I saw this crochet blanket (featuring my fave colour burgundy!) at a charity shop! I threw it around my waist and was like “yup, I’m turning this into a skirt”. I also grabbed a ball of thrifted yarn, sewed a seam at the back and added a button so I can change the waist depending on how much I’ve eaten that day lol! And now for the top! Hmmm, search for more crochet or try something else? Stay tuned for Part Two 😆
